Air

Original was 8.5x11 Watercolor on 140lb hot press paper.
This painting of a girl leaning against a tree full of windchimes was directly inspired by two songs: "Air" by Robert Rich (from Gaudi ), and "Friendship's Door" by Iona (from Open Sky ). Here are some of the lyrics from "Friendship's Door" that inspired me:

I take the road that leads me on
And gaze out over the land
Ground the dark color of turf laden brown
And trees that sing in the wind
