STEP FIVE: MOULDING THE TREE THRONE

This is done in the same way as step four, using raw sienna + burnt umber, blending it out with acrylic glaze medium. I have thinned the paint a little with the glaze medium and a tiny bit of water. I add much, much more glaze medium when I paint the tree through the transparency of the fairy's wings (making it lighter). This is a really fun part of the painting, where I can just let my imagination take over and play with the form of the tree!
